At the heart of a fledgling trade empire, The Great City of Kanaan teeters on the brink of collapse, as the surrounding wilderness begins to creep back into the realm of man and reclaim long-established trade routes. It is no longer safe for caravans to travel alone, and the costs of lost shipments and increased security personnel are beginning to weigh heavily on Kanaan’s economy. In addition to foreign dangers, the city is experiencing negative domestic effects as well, with the disappearance of the Archmage of the Mage’s Guild and the killing of the son of the leader of the Fighter’s Guild leading to a rapidly growing distrust and rising contempt for mages.
